What we do

Cloud development, migration, operations, and security

ERT designs, implements, and sustains cloud solutions to enhance science, data management systems, and services, and maximizes cloud computing cost savings and benefits. We develop custom workflows and provide sustainment services, identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.

Calibration/ validation and algorithm testing

ERT develops instrument simulations and uses proxy data to improve and validate algorithms, models, and test data. We support instrument testing and conduct impact studies to address accuracy and waiver assessments, verify expected performance requirements for data, and support instrument calibration and data product validation.

Real-time anomaly detection and resolution

ERT’s tailored Agile approach holistically integrates front line operations personnel, IT infrastructure teams, and database management and development teams. We implement Agile and SAFe, and simultaneously train our customers on their benefits to maximize adoption for organizational transformation. Application development and software engineering

ERT provides broad scientific, software development, and IT infrastructure support including mathematical modeling, simulation of physical systems, software and system engineering, DevOps, Cloud, and IT security. Our software and system engineering subject matter experts practice modern software development using Agile methodology.

Cyber security services

We develop and implement enterprise service level common processes and strategies to standardize security control implementations across disparate system environments. We help system teams consistently perform operational and security activities across environments, replace stove-piped architectures and security control implementations with common implementations, and maximize their ability to share resources across mission system environments.

Network and system administration

ERT analysts and engineers design, plan, and implement parallel testing and development environments for operational software, and oversee the maintenance and sustainment of terminals, web server networks, and supporting equipment. We calibrate, validate, and verify new software products to help modernize aging international systems and processes, and maintain client hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Modeling and simulation

ERT engineers support feasibility studies, simulation and modeling (e.g., ionosphere modeling and HF propagation in a perturbed ionosphere simulation). Our teams design restoration projects, including diversions and dam removals through conceptual visualizations to help in restoration.

Artificial intelligence/ machine learning (AI/ML)

We work with our clients to apply machine learning (ML) technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to create solutions that seamlessly integrate with their existing systems and help them grow to meet evolving mission requirements.

Satellite ground system engineering

We provide engineering, operating, and satellite ground systems support to satellites. In this capacity, we interface with mission controls and manage data downloads and transfers, including high quality imagery products used to forecast weather, and conduct climate modeling and environmental management.

Radio frequency (RF) engineering

ERT works with clients to strategically plan satellite communications and maximize efficiency resulting from the evolving wireless industry and increasingly limited RF spectrum. We pace satellite communications and products including procedure and engineering improvements to maximize fidelity and technical development schedules for critical subsystems.
